20 Questions Book Tag

First of all, I’d like to say that I’m sorry I’ve been so MIA in the blogging world. I’ve missed so many people’s posts but ya girl is super sick. I’m only posting this because it’s been in my drafts for a while and I can’t stop sneezing long enough to write an actual review.

I was tagged to do this by the very lovely Debora over at BeeBooks so please go check out her blog! Now let’s get onto the questions.

♛ 1. How many books in a series is too many? ♛

Honestly I don’t really care. I’m fine with a duology but I also love a good binge of a long series.

♛ 2. How do you feel about cliffhangers? ♛

I’m okay with cliffhangers if they’re done tastefully. But if the whole novel is boring and then they add a cliffhanger just to make you read the next book. Heck NO.

♛ 3. Hardback or paperback? ♛

Paperback! I love the floppiness.

♛ 4. Favorite book? ♛

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. I am in love with it.

♛ 5. Least favorite book? ♛

HA there’s so many but I’m gonna go with Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne. I honestly don’t remember anything about it except that the MC was a special snowflake thief that could turn into a cat or something 💀 It was rough.

♛ 6. Love triangle. Yes or no? ♛

If it’s The Infernal Devices? Yes. If it’s anything else? No.

♛ 7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish? ♛

The Shadowverse by John Clement Gallo. It was a review request but I just could not keep going so I had to DNF it.

♛ 8. A book you’re currently reading? ♛

Well technically I haven’t read a single word yet, BUT The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon is currently sitting on my bed-side table with a bookmark already inside.

♛ 9. Last book you recommended to someone? ♛

Unsurprisingly I told like 9 people that they needed to read Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson.

♛ 10. Oldest book you’ve read? ♛

I had to look on Goodreads for this one and it was Antigone. Which is technically a play, I guess?

♛ 11. Newest book you’ve read? ♛

Kingdom of Exiles by Maxym M. Martineau which was amazing and came out on June 25th. I read it as an ARC and I still need to get a final copy.

♛ 12. Favorite author? ♛

Honestly I flip flop between authors all the time but for the last year or so it’s been Amanda Foody.

♛ 13. Buying books or borrowing books? ♛

Buying for sure! Although I do love borrowing ebooks sometimes.

♛ 14. What’s a book you disliked but everyone else seemed to like? ♛

The entire Grisha trilogy.

♛ 15. Bookmarks or dog-ears? ♛

Bookmarks of course.

♛ 16. A book you can always reread? ♛

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff! I’ve read it a couple of times and plan on rereading it again sometime soon.

♛ 17. Can you read while hearing music? ♛

Eh. I don’t put music on to read to because that’s too distracting. But if I’m in a vehicle reading and someone has music on, I can usually block it out. So technically no, but sometimes yes lol.

♛ 18. One POV or multiple POV’s? ♛

I’m happy with either as long as it fits the story!

♛ 19. Do you read a book in one sitting or in multiple days? ♛

I can do both, but the majority of time I read a book over multiple days. I’ll typically read about 100ish pages a day. But there are occasions where I’ll read a book in a single sitting.

♛ 20. One book you read because of it’s cover? ♛

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner. I still think it has one of the prettiest covers ever.
