So I got the idea for this blog post from my friend Aaryn’s video which you can check out here. I’m not going to be discussing any ebooks, library books, etc. because that would just be way too much to handle. As you can tell, I have a pretty good bit of unread physical copies, so let’s get started.
Finale (Caraval #3) by Stephanie Garber
I went to the store and bought this on release day, May 7th, because it was one of my most anticipated releases of the year. But I STILL haven’t read it. I’m honestly just really scared of how this is going to end, because this is one of my favorite series, and I’m not ready for it to be over so I keep putting it off.
The Towering Sky (The Thousandth Floor #3) by Katharine McGee
Another series conclusion that I got on release day which was like, a year ago. I’ve just been more interested in other books which is why I haven’t gotten around to this one yet. This series is really fun though. It’s basically like a futuristic sci-fi version of Gossip Girl.
Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes #1) by Sara Raasch
This is another one that I’ve had for at least a year. It was a steal at $3 at 2nd & Charles so I couldn’t resist. I’ve always wanted to read this series, but admittedly not as much as some others.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (The Chronicles of Narnia #5) by C.S. Lewis
I’ve read all the previous books in this series, but at the time that I was reading them, I was in the middle of a readathon. So I had to pick up different books for specific prompts and I just never got around to finishing this series.
The Silver Chair (The Chronicles of Narnia #6) by C.S. Lewis
The Last Battle (The Chronicles of Narnia #7) by C.S. Lewis
Once & Future (Once & Future #1) by Amy Rose Capetta & Cori McCarthy
I’m a huge fan of Arthurian legend (The Sword in the Stone and Quest for Camelot are fantastic animated movies and everyone needs to watch them) and the fact that this is a gender bent retelling of that? YES. So of course I went out and bought this on release day, which was back in March… Obviously I still haven’t read it because I’m trash.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
I genuinely have no intentions of reading this one, but it came in the boxed set with The Lord of the Rings so I have it should I ever change my mind and decide to give it a go.
The Beholder (The Beholder #1) by Anna Bright
I got this one in a FairyLoot box, and while I am interested in reading it, it’s just not very high on my priority list.
I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies #1) by Pittacus Lore
I loved this movie back when it came out, so I decided that I wanted to read the whole series. I found a couple of them at 2nd & Charles for really cheap and picked them up. That was YEARS ago and I still haven’t even attempted to read this. I might need to unhaul at this point.
The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies #3) by Pittacus Lore
Yep, I own books 1, 3, and 4. But not the second one. I’m a mess.
The Fall of Five (Lorien Legacies #4) by Pittacus Lore
Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
I got this from Half Price Books when I went on a trip last month, and I’m looking forward to reading it! It just hasn’t happened yet.
If I’m Being Honest by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
I’m even more excited to get to this one because the love interest is supposed to be a soft boyTM and I’m so ready for that. This one is towards the top of my current TBR.
The Dark Days Club (Lady Helen #1) by Alison Goodman
This is another book that I bought on sale at 2nd & Charles years ago and then never got around to. I was excited for this at one point, but now I’ve lost interest. I might need to unhaul it.
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow – ARC
This one is an ARC, and it doesn’t come out until September, but I still need to get around to it sometime soon!
The God You Thought You Knew: Exposing the 10 Biggest Myths About Christianity by Alex McFarland
My youth group from my church gifted me this when I graduated high school, so it’s been a couple of years… I am interested in it, but I just can’t resist all the fantasy books that are calling my name.
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This is another one that I picked up last month on my trip when I was at Half Price Books. It’s towards the top of my TBR and I’m hoping to get to it next month!
Scythe (Arc of a Scythe #1) by Neal Shusterman
My angel of a friend, Aaryn (who gave me the idea for this post), sent me this book for my birthday! I’m really really excited to read it because I’ve only heard amazing things, and it’s towards the top of my current TBR.
The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking #1) by Patrick Ness
I bought this whole trilogy on sale at 2nd & Charles years ago and I even started this book. But I DNFed it around 60 pages and I never plan on trying again. It was just awful and I really need to unhaul all three of these books.
The Ask and the Answer (Chaos Walking #1) by Patrick Ness
Monsters of Men (Chaos Walking #1) by Patrick Ness
Before the Devil Breaks You (The Diviners #3) by Libba Bray
Another angelic friend of mine, Fizzy, sent me this because I got an awesome new job and she said she was proud of me, aww! I freaking love this series and these characters, so I’m excited to get to this and finally be caught up until the next one comes out.
End of Days (Penryn & the End of Days #3) by Susan Ee
Y’all. I haven’t read a single book in this trilogy. Because I’m dumb, I bought this one thinking that it was the first book, but it’s actually the last! Ugh. I really want to start this series but now I can’t until I buy the other two books. Sigh.
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson #1) by Patricia Briggs
This is an adult fantasy series that I’ve been really interested in because I’ve been told that if you like Kate Daniels (which I do), then you’ll like this too. So I picked this up at Half Price Books on my trip last month. I don’t know when I’ll be able to get around to it though.
Night Film by Marisha Pessl
My grandma bought me this a couple of months ago cause she saw it on sale at our local thrift book store. I am interested in it, but it’s not a big priority for me right now.
And that’s everything that I have unread of my bookshelves! (Actually I think there’s a few more but I didn’t feel like looking that hard) Have you read any of these? If so, what do you think I should prioritize?
As always, thanks for reading!

Wow, you have a lot of great books waiting to be read!!😊I’ve read Always Never Yours and loved it, so I hope you enjoy both that book and the other one by the same authors.
I read I Am Number Four way back in the day, and I honestly don’t remember what happened but I DO remember that I liked it?? My reading taste has probably changed a lot since I read it, but as far as I remember, it was pretty interesting and I got into it a lot. I never did read the rest of the series though…
Agh, The Hobbit. I’m sad to say that I am not a fan of The Hobbit, despite it being such an iconic book. It might have been because it was required reading for me? Or maybe the story just wasn’t for me? Whatever the reason, I didn’t like it at all and that’s also stopped me from reading Lord of the Rings…which I really should read soon, haha.
Great post!💓

Ooh good to know! I hadn’t heard much about either of their books so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Lol foreal, I Am Number Four is so old at this point that I feel like it’ll read very much like “old school YA” so I just don’t think I can get into it now.
Yeah I watched the first Hobbit movie and didn’t care for any of it so knew I’d hate the book too. Lol required reading definitely puts a bleak look on things though! I think The Lord of the Rings is better, BUT I know it’s not for everyone. Maybe just watch the movies instead? 😂 they’re really good!
Thanks Olivia 😊💙

I really loved The Beholder. My ex (who has very similar reading tastes as I do) told me that I HAVE to read the whole Scythe series, so I REALLY want to read that. (Is it weird that I still get book recommendations from my ex and give him mine? hahah I don’t even care.) But the way you described The Thousandth Floor series makes me REALLY want to read it. I was trash for Gossip Girl — the show, I am trash for the Pretty Little Liars books though.

Ooh good to know! I haven’t seen anyone read it or heard anything about it, so I was kind of weary to start it. Yeah everyone raves about Scythe to me too! And the last book comes out later this year so now is the perfect time to catch up.
😂 maybe it’s a little odd but it’s not THAT weird 😂
Okay you’d probably really like The Thousandth Floor then! It has a lot of partying, lies, backstabbing, scandals, and romance. So it’s definitely very drama filled!

The Beholder was a fun book. Kind of like The Selection but better in my opinion with bits of mythology and fairy tales thrown in.
I think I will try and catch up on Scythe before the last book comes out too!
And whatever, he gives good book recs. haha
I love backstabbing and scandals. I have heard very little about The Thousandth Floor though so I never picked it up, but the ebook library has it!

Okay it definitely sounds like something I’d enjoy then, so thanks for letting me know! I’ll have to bump it up my TBR.
Lol that’s all that matters then.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. (:
