I’m posting this list a little late, so a couple of the books on here have already been released, but oh well! I’ve included all of the books coming out in July through December that I’m interested in getting my hands on. I’ve got a lot of books on this list, so let’s get into it!
♛ My MOST Anticipated Releases ♛
Five Dark Fates (Three Dark Crowns #4) by Kendare Blake
Publication date: September 3rd, 2019
This has been a really fun series about triplet sisters destined to kill each other for the throne, although the last book was kinda lackluster, so I’m really excited for this conclusion.
Into the Crooked Place (Into the Crooked Place #1) by Alexandra Christo
Publication date: October 8th, 2019
Alexandra Christo wrote To Kill a Kingdom which is one of my favorite standalone fantasies, so I’m super thrilled to see what she’ll cook up next. All I know is that this is about criminals/gangsters, which I’m a sucker for.
The Beautiful (The Beautiful #1) by Renée Ahdieh
Publication date: October 8th, 2019
I’ve never read anything by this author before, but a story about vampires set in 1800s New Orleans? I. Am. Sold.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
Publication date: November 5th, 2019
I know absolutely nothing about the plot of this one, but it’s Erin Morgenstern, aka the queen of adult fantasy. The Night Circus was a masterpiece so I pretty much freaked out when I discovered that she’s finally written something else. I can’t wait.
Supernova (Renegades #3) by Marissa Meyer
Publication date: November 5th, 2019
This is the conclusion to a sci-fi series about heroes, villains, and a girl that’s playing both sides. I’ve been super invested in this series from the start and I genuinely have no idea how it’s going to end. So I’m both excited and scared for this one.
Call Down the Hawk (Dreamer #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
Publication date: November 5th, 2019
Y’ALL I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO MANY YEARS FOR THIS ONE!!! This series is about one of my favorite characters of all time, Ronan Lynch, whom we originally met in The Raven Cycle. His abilities literally blow my mind so us finally getting a series focused on him is all that I’ve been wanting. I’m not exactly living for this book cover, but I’m hoping that the Ronan content will more than make up for it.
The Queen of Nothing (The Folk of the Air #3) by Holly Black
Publication date: November 19th, 2019
I’m genuinely scared as to how this trilogy is going to end…I just don’t see Holly giving us a happy ending for Jude and Cardan but I’m excited nonetheless.
(The Iron Covenant #2) by Ilona Andrews
Publication date: December 2019
The title, cover, and exact release date still haven’t been released for this one. This is the second book in a spin-off from the Kate Daniels series. I absolutely loved the previous one, so I’m interested to see where things will go.
♛ Other Releases I’m Excited For ♛
Spin the Dawn (The Blood of Stars #1) by Elizabeth Lim
Publication date: July 9th, 2019
Honestly, I’m just interested in this one for the stunning cover and the Chinese-inspired fantasy aspects!
Publication date: July 9th, 2019
I read an early sampler of this one and it really reminded me of the movie Annihilation. I loved all of the eerie vibes and the whole virus so I’m pumped to get to this one.
The Storm Crow (The Storm Crow #1) by Kalyn Josephson
Publication date: July 9th, 2019
I knew the plot of this at one point, but now I forgot and am just interested in it for the cover.
Serpent & Dove (Serpent & Dove #1) by Shelby Mahurin
Publication date: September 3rd, 2019
All I know is that this is about witches. Need I say more?
The Babysitter’s Coven (The Babysitter’s Coven #1) by Kate Williams
Publication date: September 17th, 2019
I have an early sampler of this one but I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet! It has something to do with witches and babysitting, so it sounds like it’s definitely going to be a funny read!
10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston
Publication date: October 1st, 2019
I really enjoyed This Is Our Story by this same author, and she’s actually a friend of my brother’s so I’m always excited to see anything new by her. This one got picked up to become a movie by the director of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before so even more reason to read it!
Ninth House (Ninth House #1) by Leigh Bardugo
Publication date: October 8th, 2019
Sigh. I don’t know why I’m looking forward to this one but I am. I only like half of her books, but I’m excited to see her dive into the adult genre. Especially since this is about college students, secret societies, and murder. It has promise.
A River of Royal Blood (A River of Royal Blood #1) by Amanda Joy
Publication date: October 29th, 2019
I was first hooked by this cover, but then I found out that this is an African-inspired fantasy about two sisters fighting to the death over the throne. Ya girl is interested.
Beyond the Black Door by A.M. Strickland
Publication date: October 29th, 2019
Again, the cover got me with this one. But it’s about a girl who can walk through other people’s dreams sooo yeah I would like to read it.
The Guinevere Deception (Camelot Rising #1) by Kiersten White
Publication date: November 5th, 2019
I’m a sucker for Arthurian legend, and this is a retelling of that so I was already interested. Then I saw the gorgeous cover. And once I found out that it’s about a changeling that must marry King Arthur to save Camelot? I was totally intrigued.
Are any of these on your list? What are your most anticipated reads for the rest of 2019? Let me know in the comments!
