Falling Kingdoms #4-6 by Morgan Rhodes ♛ Mini Reviews

I finally finished this whole series and it was honestly one of the most satisfying binges I’ve ever done. In case you missed it, I did mini review for the first three books as well which you can see here. But there will be no spoilers here, so don’t worry!

This book made me feel all of the emotions and is definitely my favorite of the whole series. We got several new enjoyable POVs, but most importantly the enemies to lovers romance really started to simmer so I was living for it. Frozen Tides was action-packed and had several unexpected twists that left me unable to put this book down. Even though things are getting even more desperate for the cast, they all still get stronger, and their development is just superb.

The books in this series had only gotten better and better up until this point. Crystal Storm was still fun, but it definitely lacked the gripping plot that the previous novels have had. It was mostly just a bunch of drama and unnecessary angst. I’m not gonna lie, it was totally entertaining, but not as good as I was expecting after the last installment. And I wanted to like the villain because she seemed to be for women empowerment, but sadly she was most certainly not an intersectional feminist. But that ending seriously HURT ME!! 🙁

I read this is a single day. Y’all, I rarely do that with novels. But after the cliffhanger from the last book, I just had to know how all my precious little babies were going to end up. I honestly don’t know how people waited 1+ years for this one, because I would have been seriously suffering. The characters were as amazing as ever, and it was a good ending for the series, although not exactly what I would have wanted.

Overall this was an amazing series and I enjoyed every second of it. I can definitely see myself rereading this in the future. I’d highly recommend Falling Kingdoms to any YA fantasy fans and to those that like character driven stories! I now have some new all-time favorite characters and I couldn’t be happier.
