Happy June everyone! For a couple of weeks I had a mini reading slump because of all the pressure from readathons, so I was upset that I wouldn’t be able to get through many books. But May ended up being a really good reading month for me overall! I read a total of 7 books and 3,093 pages! One of them was an ARC which I’m extremely excited for. And I also ended up DNFing an author’s review request this month, but I won’t be including it in this wrap up.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

This was a really cute contemporary and I liked the whole idea of her writing love letters that accidentally got sent out. I ended up watching the Netflix movie after I finished this and I gotta say that I really enjoyed it!

This was an amazing installment with girl gangs, overcoming addiction, power struggles, cons, and magic. I really enjoyed it, although it was a bit longer than it needed to be, so I didn’t love it as much as the first book. Read my review!
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I freaking loved everything about this and it ended up being a new favorite for me! The characters, world, plot, and writing were just too amazing. THIS was the book that ended up saving me from my slump and I can’t wait for the next one. Read my review!

I absolutely love villains and morally grey characters so this book was right up my alley. The way it was narrated was really interesting and I never knew what was going to happen next. Review coming soon!
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
★★★★
Publication date: 5/26/2015
This was cute but the only thing that saved it for me was John Ambrose McClaren. I don’t like Peter K and you can @ me for that.
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
★★★★★
Publication date: 2/8/2018
This was literally the most mind-blowing book that I’ve ever read in my entire life and I really enjoyed it. It’s definitely something that requires your full attention because so much is going on. Review coming soon!
Kingdom of Exiles by Maxym M. Martineau

Everyone buy this on June 25! I loved every single second of this and it has become an all-time favorite of mine!! I received an ARC of this but I will definitely be buying a finished copy of this on release day. This features magical beasts, innocent exiles, shadow-wielding assassins, and so much more. I’m already so invested in these characters. Review to come very soon!

I know I’m very behind on reviews right now, but my migraines have really been acting up the last couple of days so I’ve been lowkey dead to the world. I’ll work on them all ASAP so be expecting tons of reviews soon!
How did your reading month go? Have you read any of the books in my list? Let’s chat!

bitch what’s your secret?? you read so much!! I’m happy you enjoyed the first two books of the tatbilb trilogy! you’re completely right with John Ambrose McLaren being the better man 🤩 and Peter does get a bit better in the last book.
I’m so excited to read all your future reviews!!!!

I mean, I had to mention it cause otherwise I would have read more 😂
Lol honestly I just force myself to read at least 100 pages per day. If I’m really into something (like I was with Aurora Rising & Kingdom of Exiles) I can fly through it though. My bigger secret is that I’m currently unemployed and on a school break so I have nothing to do 😂
Right?! My friend that forced me to read tatbilb is mad that I don’t like Peter. But I’m glad to hear that he gets better in the last book!
AWW thank you so much Diana 😭💙💙

I just recently read Evelyn Hardcastle, as well, and really enjoyed it! I loved how complex it was, but how everything came together in the end

I’m glad you liked it too! It was definitely a bit overwhelming at first but I’m so impressed with how it turned out

Yay, I hope you enjoy it!! It’s truly amazing. I need to get my hands on Vengeful soon.
And omg foreal! I just finished the trilogy last night. Peter definitely amped up his game in the last book but I was so disappointed with how things were left with John Ambrose 😔
