This tag was originally created on booktube by Emma over at MuggleGlamour. Her video is really cute so do yourself a favor and go check her channel out!! I of course loved watching Disney channel as child, so this tag is giving me life and I couldn’t not do it. So without further ado, let’s get into the tag.
♛ Hannah Montana// A book with a plot twist that you saw coming from a mile away:
I read this years ago when it first came out and everyone was talking about it. The “plot twist” was a typical who did it? I’m not lying when I say that I’d figured out who that person was literally 15 pages into the book. Needless to say, I found it extremely predictable and didn’t think it was worth the hype at all.
♛ Phil of the Future// A book that takes place in the future:
Another popular book that I’m not a huge fan of! Are we seeing a trend here? But this takes place in the year 2044, and while I still think it was a really cool concept, it just wasn’t for me. I loved all of the 80’s movie and music references, but most of the gaming stuff went over my head. It didn’t help that I couldn’t click with the writing either.
♛ The Suit Life of Zack & Cody// A book with your favorite siblings:
I really tried to pick something other than this since I somehow always bring up TMI. But after searching I realized that there honestly aren’t any siblings out there that are better than Izzy and Alec. They have such a close relationship and they’ve always had each others backs. I have an older brother that I’m close with, so I guess I just resonate with them the most.
♛ Wizards of Waverly Place// A book with a character who has a secret:
This isn’t a spoiler, because you find out within the first few pages of the book, but the main character Cat has a couple of secrets that she’s keeping. One being that she’s a half vampire and the other being that she actually hunts vampires herself. I’ve still only read the first 2 books from this series but I found them to be pretty enjoyable.
♛ Lizzie McGuire// A book that would work as both a live action and an animated film:
So this book is basically Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider but in outer space. I could definitely see some serious potential for this as either a live action or an animated movie! Honestly I’d just really love to see it on screen because I’m a sucker for archaeologist adventures.
♛ That’s So Raven// Raven can see glimpses into the future. Choose a book that you wish had an epilogue that jumped into the future:
I recently read this for the Fantasy Adventureathon and I really enjoyed it, but the ending left me wanting so much more. It was just so vague that you had no idea what ended up happening to characters. I would have liked more closure is all.
♛ Kim Possible// A book who has a character with an adorable pet:
I’m a dog lover, but I especially love any Great Pyrenees (the big white dog on the cover) because that’s what my fluffer is! In this book, Bertie is a Great Pyrenees that the MC has to dog walk, so he’s not technically her pet, but still. He’s such a goofy dog and gets into all sorts of shenanigans and I loved him.
♛ The Proud Family// A book with a family that you want to be adopted into:
Honestly who wouldn’t want to be adopted into this family? Peter was such a great older brother who always took care of his younger siblings. I always loved the dynamic between him and Lucy because they seemed to be the closest even though they had the biggest age difference. Plus if I got adopted into their family then I’d get to go to Narnia with them so count me in!
♛ Even Stevens// In Even Stevens, the main character is in 7th grade. Choose a book you loved in 7th grade or a book you would recommend to someone in 7th grade:
This was an assigned reading we had to do in seventh grade and I became so engrossed in this world and everything it had to offer. I’ve read it so many times and still find myself coming back to it over the years. It’s one of the series that really got me to love reading when I was younger.
♛ Phineas & Ferb// A book with a character or characters that realistically should have gotten in trouble but never did:
This is the second book of the trilogy, and while they’re all futuristic and have some unrealistic aspects, I thought that this one took that up a notch. Calliope and her mom are con artists that have been conning men for YEARS and have never gotten caught a single time. I liked it, but just found that they definitely should have gotten into some kind of trouble for their actions.
And that wraps up The Disney Channel Book Tag! This was really fun and I’m so glad that Emma created it. If you want to do this yourself, then consider yourself tagged!
